We are pleased to announce that Dr. Uthis Tanratanawong has joined the medical team at the Be Well Medical Center as a visiting specialist.
Dr. Uthis graduated as a medical doctor from Prince of Songkhla University in 1989 and obtained a graduate diploma in Radiology in 1994 from the Chulalongkorn University.
She also attended a training in radiology focusing on MRI at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center in California.
Dr. Uthis served as a radiologist at various leading hospitals nationwide, including Bangkok Hospital Phuket (2003 – 2010). In 2010, Dr. Uthis relocated to Hua Hin, where she joined Hua Hin Hospital as Chief Radiologist until 2019. Since 2019, she has held part-time positions as an adviser and practicing physician at various medical institutes in the Prachuap Khiri Khan and Phetchaburi provinces.
Dr. Uthis will support our family doctors and patients with interpretations and second opinions on X-rays and other medical imaging tests. She will also provide advice on the use of radiological and nuclear medicine treatments.

Dr. Uthis will visit the Banyan clinic regularly, beginning with bi-weekly sessions, to conduct a range of ultrasound examinations, e.g. for whole abdomen, specific organs like ultrasound KUB (prostate, urine bladder, kidneys ), breasts, thyroid, testes, vascular problems like deep vein thrombosis, and other parts of the body.
The first clinic will be held on September 6th. Members can make reservations via email or phone. If you have any questions about consulting our radiologist, please don't hesitate to contact your family doctor.

Urgent Charity Request for a Child’s Medical Procedure
You are likely familiar with the efforts of the Be Well Child Care Foundation (BWCCF). We are dedicated to supporting children with complex medical conditions that demand intensive, long-term, and highly specialized care, which is often expensive. Beyond coordinating medical care, securing the necessary funding is a significant challenge. Thankfully, our primary sponsors include hospitals and individual specialists who provide services at a reduced cost. Nevertheless, BWCCF must continually secure funds to ensure the availability of vital medical procedures and medications. We deeply value and appreciate your consistent financial support over the years.
The purpose of this message is to highlight an urgent case that exceeds our current financial capacity, especially considering our other ongoing commitments.
The child, referred to as “Quatro”, is an 10-year-old girl. She is blind in her right eye, and her left eye has a mere 20% vision. Despite the challenges from her past, including abandonment, Quatro has thrived both academically and socially. She is a highly talented child at a Thai school, achieving good grades. Beyond her studies, Quatro is known for her infectious smile and amiable nature. She’s a talented singer and impressively speaks three languages: Thai, Karen, and English.
Without intervention, she risks losing the remaining vision in her left eye. After multiple consultations with esteemed ophthalmologists, a leading specialist has proposed a series of surgeries with a promising likelihood of preserving at least minimal vision for the long term. While there are no guarantees, the child understands the risks and is willing to proceed. More details are available at https://bewell.co.th/quatro/.
These surgeries must begin immediately and necessitate an initial fund of THB 200,000.
Any contribution, no matter how small, would be immensely appreciated to help us initiate the required procedures.
Please be informed that our Foundation is officially registered in Thailand (registration number 099-3-00048584-0).
