Osteoporosis and Fragility Fractures The 'Silent' Condition Causes, Prevention and Treatments.

Seminar for Patients, including the opportunity to consult the attending specialists.
Introduction

Osteoporosis is a bone disease that develops when bone mineral density and bone mass decreases, or when the structure and strength of bone changes. This can lead to a decrease in bone strength that can increase the risk of fractures.

Osteoporosis is a “silent” disease because you typically do not have symptoms, and you may not even know you have the disease until you break a bone. Osteoporosis is the major cause of fractures in postmenopausal women and in older men.

In this seminar we will explain what osteoporosis is, what the main causes are, how it can be prevented and what treatments are available.

After the seminar, there are opportunities for patients to consult the specialists of the Bangkok Hospital at the Be Well Medical Center (limited slots available).
